Club Facilities
Waterford Castle Golf Resort is a luxury island resort covering 310 acres with 18-Hole, par 72 Championship Golf Course. Designed by the renowned former Ryder Cup player and vice-captain Des Smith, this 18-hole, par 72 championship golf course, utilizes the natural landscape of the Island. Set amongst 200 acres of splendid woodlands with water playing a pivotal role on numerous holes, Waterford Castle offers a challenge for all levels of golfers.
Driving Range
Waterford Castle Golf Resort offers a year round driving range facility with two covered bays and one teaching bay with floodlight facilities. Set adjacent to the Clubhouse, and amongst some of the tallest Oak trees on the island, the range offers the perfect tranquil setting in which to learn new skills from our experienced PGA Professional or in preparation in taking to the fairways.
9-Hole Putting Green
Additionally, there is a 9-hole putting green is available for use in front of the club house; completed to the same standard of the golf course.
Golf Pro Shop
The Pro Shop is open daily for all your golfing needs; stocking leading brands of clothing and golfing equipment. Our highly qualified staff will assist you with any request you may have regarding your golfing equipment. The staff are also well aware of the latest trends and fashion both on and off the golf course and are happy to assist you, ensuring you look good on the golf course – no matter how you play.
Rental equipment is also available at the Pro Shop with everything from Rental Sets, Buggy Hire and electric trolley’s available for hire. We recommend to book in advance.
The Clubhouse
The Kings Channel Clubhouse at Waterford Castle Golf Club is a great place to begin your game by fuelling up your body and mind with some of our chefs fantastic treats and the perfect place to relax and unwind after their game with a tea or coffee or something stronger. Full locker room facilities are available for both members & guests.
The Clubhouse also offers a meeting room and dining options for up to 100 guests serving some of the finest local produce. Perfect for a corporate, group, society or wedding party.

Members Achievements

Young Lauren Bradfield was selected on the Munster Girl’s Under-18 Interprovincial Team played at Ballykisteen Golf Club on 21st and 22nd August 2023.
The other members of the team were Sadhbh Bullock (Castletroy Golf Club), Lucy Grattan (Tralee Golf Club), Hayley Martinez (Douglas Golf Club), Ella Moynihan (Tralee Golf Club), Caitlin Shippam (Ballykisteen Golf Club) and Ciara Waldron (Naas Golf Club).
They were Captained by Kiara O’Keeffe (Tipperary Golf Club) and Imelda Fitzpatrick  (Cahir Park Golf Club).

The Ladies of Waterford Castle Golf Club qualified for the All-Ireland deciders of the Intermediate Cup at Limerick Golf Club on Thursday 16th September 2021 by winning their Munster Regional Finals and were drawn against Ballinasloe Golf Club in the All-Ireland Quarter Finals; they lost their match by 3-matches to 2-matches.
First on the tee was Vivieene Keller who lost her match by the minimum against Tanya Whyte, she was followed by Sally Brennan who had a very convincing 7 and 6 win against Geraldine Kelly, next on the tee was Mary Kennedy who lost her match against Mary Glynn by 4 and 3, in the penultimate match Margaret Guerin   had a comfortable 4 and 3 win against Anne Kelly and in the bottom match Margaret Gallagher lost out to Jane Beatty by 2 and 1.

Waterford Castle won the Munster Final of the Irish Mixed Foursomes at Dromoland Castle Golf Club on Saturday 9th August 2014 when they beat East Cork Golf Club by 4-matches to 1-match in the Final having beaten Killarney Golf Club by 3-matches to 2-Matches in the Semi-Final.
They made the long journey to Warrenpoint Golf Club to take part in the All-Ireland deciders. They met Ulster Champions Rosapenna Golf Club in the All-Ireland Semi-Final on Friday 4th September and booked their place in the All-Ireland Final the following day when they accounted for the Donegal Club by 3-matches to 2-matches.
First on the tee was Ben Murray with Patsy Garry who beat Pat Boyce with Ann Currie by 5 and 4, next up was Sam Power was Bridget Tierney who lost out to Club owner Frank Casey Jnr. with Terri McBride by 2-holes, they were followed by Pat Madigan with Anna Glavin who recorded a 3 and 2 win over Enda Kennedy with Dympna Kelly, the penultimate match of Niall O'Connell with Kay Walsh went 3 and 2 to the Donegal pair of Marty McDermott with Orla Lenny, so their place in the decider hinged on the bottom match of Denny Sinnott with Fiona Fitzgerald who had a comfortable 4 and 2 win over Con Boyce with Susanne Gallagher and with it their place in the All-Ireland Final.
They met Leinster Champions Castlecomer in the decider who had accounted for Connacht Champions Portumna Golf Club by 3½-matches to 1½-matches in their Semi-Final.
First on the tee was Ben Murray with Patsy Garry who beat Tommy O'Neill wit Betty Owens by a comfortable 8 and 7, next up was Liam Coady with Bridget Tierney who lost out to Jason Brennan with Ann Ring by 5 and 4, they were followed by Pat Madigan with Kay Walsh who also lost their match against Michael Daly with Joan Brennan by 3 and 2, the penultimate match of Francis Reynolds with Mary Madigan had a 3 and 1 win over Victor Smyth with Teresa Manning, the bottom match of Denny Sinnott with Fiona Fitzgerald clinched the green pennant when they beat Ken Hovenden with Maria Downey by 3 and 2.

My congratulations to Kevin Phelan on his call-up to the Walker Cup team to represent Great Britain & Ireland against the USA at the National Golf Links of America in Southampton, New York from September 7th and 8th.

Waterford Castle Golf Club won the All-Ireland Junior Foursomes in 2009, when the team was Sean O’Sullivan, Kevin O’Leary, Patrick Rohan and Garry Walshe they were managed by Steven Walshe and Tom O’Leary the coach was Pat Madigan.

The Ladies of Waterford Castle Golf Club won the Mid Leinster Minor Cup P. Garvey, B. Tierney, D. McCarty, R. Moynihan, F. Fitzgerald, E. Carroll and L. Brophy they were managed by M. Fogarty and C. Flynn.

Waterford Castle Golf Club got to the Munster Final of the Jimmy Bruen Shield at Limerick Golf Club in 1998, when the team was C. Ahearne, J. Hegarty, D. O'Leary, J. Dalton, J. Nolan, J, Morrissey, T. Clancy, K. O'Brien, L. McCarthy, J. Hughey and B. Mulhall, they were managed by L. Coady.

Waterford Castle Golf Club won the Belvedere Cup in 2003.

Kathleen Walsh and Carmel Walsh qualified for the National Finals of the Kellogg's Ladies Golf Challenge at Druid's Glen Golf Club on the 21st of August 2001.

Kevin Phelan is an Irish International from 2010 to the present day Kevin Qualified for the US-Open at Pebble Beach in 2010 and again at Merion Golf Club in 2013.
