Hilton Templepatrick Golf Course
Venue for the 5th staging of the HBE Ulster PGA Championship 23rd - 25th September 2014.
Hilton Templepatrick Golf Club took seven years from the drawing board to completion. Founded in 1999 and designed by David Jones ably assisted by David Feherty who also collaborated when designing the Klassis course in Turkey.
Jones imposed his own, individual stamp on his creation at the Castle Upton Estate when designing the 7,081 yards Par 72 with a standard scratch of 74 off the back tees. Jones is on record as saying " As a relative newcomer to golf-course architecture I was thrilled, not only to be chosen as the designer, but to have been allowed full expression for my ideas. I have seen new courses in Ireland which look as though they have been transplanted from the States, and I was determined to avoid that".
David Jones made excellent use of the classic, parkland features of the Castle Upton Estate with mature terrain overlooking the County Antrim hills. By combining a broad selection of tees making the course adaptable to golfers of all standards.
The Hilton Templepatrick Golf Club incorporates the magnificent Hilton Hotel which caters for the golfers every, need and a warm welcome is extended to visitors. Located off the M2 motorway and close to Belfast’s International Airport, the Hilton Templepatrick is a must when in this part of the country. With 130 bedrooms and Livingwell health club.

The Boys’ of Hilton Templepatrick Golf Club won the Final of the North Ulster Fred Daly Trophy at Castle Hume Golf Club on Sunday 6th August 2023 when they went down to Royal Portrush Golf Club by 4-matches to 1-match.
Joshua McKee was selected on the Ulster Under-18 team to participate in the Interprovincial Championships at Hilton Templepatrick Golf Club from 19th to 21st July 2022, the others on the squad were Samuel Allister (Belvoir Park Golf Club), Noah Bickerstaff (Masseereen Golf Club), Max Carson (Royal Belfast Golf Club), Oscar Murphy (Omagh Golf Club), Michael Rocks (Lisburn Golf Club) and Joseph Stevenson (Portadown Golf Club) the non-travelling reserve was Euan Knox (Clandeboye Golf Club) they were managed by Jeff Forde from Tandragee Golf Club and captained by Tony Cassidy from Dunmurry Golf Club.
Members who played representative golf for their Province;
2 Junior members represented Ireland in 2014, they were Jordan Lough and Reece Black.
Jordan Logue played in the Four Nations Development Match between Ireland, Wales, Scotland & Netherlands in Holland April 2014 where he was unbeaten in all 6 games. He also represented Ireland as part of a 2 boy/2 girl team in the European Young Masters event in Hamburg, Germany July 2014.
Reece Black represented Ireland Vs England in August 2014
3 Junior members (Jordan Logue, Reece Black & Ryan Thompson) were selected to play for Ulster in the U16 Interprovincial Match at Castlewarden GC where Ulster won for the 3rd successive year.
R. Forsythe represented Ulster in the Senior Interprovincial’s from 2001 to 2002 playing 9-times won 4-matches halved three and lost 3-matches accumulating 10-points;
