Situated in the idyllic surroundings of North County Dublin along the banks of the, Broadmeadow river. Swords Open Golf Course offers a unique golfing experience to every golfer. Only 5 minutes from Dublin airport and only 15 Km. from the city centre, the course is easily accessible and the green fees are very reasonable. Friendly staff will be happy to take telephone bookings. A warm welcome awaits you in the log cabin clubhouse.

Members Achievements
Club Secretary Orla McGuinness qualified for the National Finals of the Irish Times-Mitsubishi Motors Women's Masters. She returned 31 points in the semi-final at Glasson Golf Hotel & Country Club on the 23rd of August 2001. Then it was on to Galway Bay Golf & Country Club for the Final on 13th September.
Prior to 2001:
Johnny Brosnan an 8 handicapper had an albatross on the 246-metre par 4, 8th.
History of Swords
Founded 1992:
Swords Golf Club play at Swords Open Golf Course, an 18 hole parkland course on relatively flat terrain. The Broadmeadow river flows through the course and the naturally occurring water has been well used in the design of the course and the provision of strategically placed water hazards and features.
Our Course Superintendent, Colm McGuinness, and his staff keep the course in pristine condition all through the year. Much has been invested in drainage over the years and so Swords Open Golf Course is very playable all year round and is constantly complimented by regulars and guests.
We have a Putting/Chipping Green and practice nets for warming up before your round.
