Luttrellstown Castle golf club Dublin
Luttrellstown Castle Golf Course
Luttrellstown Castle Golf & Country Club is situated within a 560-acre walled estate, just twenty minutes from Dublin City Centre. This 18-hole championship course, host to the Guardian Irish Open in 1997, offers an excellent test of golf for all handicaps. Bordered by mature woods with panoramic views over the Liffey Valley and the Dublin Mountains, the exceptionally well-manicured course is now renowned as one of Dublin's finest. The 3rd, 7th and 12th are the signature holes as water comes into play, although every hole offers its own challenge. The unique, log constructed clubhouse offers a friendly welcome to all visitors. The bright, airy restaurant and bar serves excellent food. A large pro shop stocks an extensive range of high-quality merchandise.

History of Luttrellstown Castle
The history of the Luttrellstown estate goes back to the beginning of the 13th century when it belonged to the Luttrell family, who resided at Luttrellstown for some 600 years.
The landscaping of those bygone days has left its mark mark on the course today. This can be seen in the romantic glen close to 8th and 9th holes. From the 10th, 11th and 12th holes, golfers can enjoy the scenic lake and the dramatic 18th century stone bridge.
Perhaps the favourite view is the appearance of Luttrellstown Castle itself. A majestic site which comes into full view adjacent to the 12th fairway.
Visually stunning with lakes, mature woodland, dramatic ancient stone bridges and the majestic Luttrellstown Castle on view at the climax of your round.
