David Owens recorded the first Hole-in-One on this course on Easter Weekend, 1993.

History of Luttrellstown Castle

The history of the Luttrellstown estate goes back to the beginning of the 13th century when it belonged to the Luttrell family, who resided at Luttrellstown for some 600 years.
The landscaping of those bygone days has left its mark mark on the course today. This can be seen in the romantic glen close to 8th and 9th holes. From the 10th, 11th and 12th holes, golfers can enjoy the scenic lake and the dramatic 18th century stone bridge.
Perhaps the favourite view is the appearance of Luttrellstown Castle itself. A majestic site which comes into full view adjacent to the 12th fairway.
Visually stunning with lakes, mature woodland, dramatic ancient stone bridges and the majestic Luttrellstown Castle on view at the climax of your round.
